A Prelude
Rahman Se, in Hindi, means “from Rahman”. I’ve long felt that A.R. Rahman’s music springs from deep within him: it feels pure, timeless, and reflective of all that is good in this man and his country—my country—India.
I write here to highlight Rahman’s most soulful compositions. His work over the past 18 years is immense and diverse, many of them popular and equally many that are not. It is my intention to focus on poignant compositions that have gone unnoticed, unpublished, misunderstood or misrepresented. I hope you can join me in this endeavour.
